BUST

Wrap a soft measuring tape under your arms and around the fullest part of your chest. Avoid pulling the measuring tape too tightly.

Pro Tip: Keep your favorite undergarment on while you measure to get the most accurate number.

NATURAL WAIST

Stand up straight and relax your stomach, then wrap a soft measuring tape at the midway point between the bottom of your ribcage and your hip bone. Avoid pulling the measuring tape too tightly.

HIP

Stand with your feet hips width distance and flat, then wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest point of your hip.

Pro Tip: Sitting down while you take this measurement ensures accuracy and provides added comfort for the best fit.

INSEAM

Use a soft measuring tape to measure from the highest point of your inner thigh to the bottom of where the pant will hit. For instance, if the inseam is 27”, you’ll measure 27” down.

Pro Tip: Measuring with shoes on lets you see the full picture and ensures your pants fall exactly where you want them.

"These are beautiful linen shorts, however, they run considerably smaller than the exact same shorts that I have in the same size in denim, so I am returning them. I love F&E, and wear their clothes almost exclusively, but I really wish they would get their sizing figured out!"

Comfortable near seersucker shorts

"These shorts fit and feel better than anything I’ve had in ages. I need a longer inseam, like 7” because I’m 68. These are perfect. They feel and move great. I love the blue pin stripe and look like seersucker which I love for summer. You can dress them up or down. They are the most expensive shorts I’ve ever gotten, BUT they are worth it when you take in look, style, feel, everything. I’ll definitely get another pair. If you can afford it, you won’t regret it."

Love These Shorts!!

"I love everything about these shorts except when I received them, they were terribly wrinkled and stuffed in the plastic bag. I was very surprised, was going to return them, but I already have a pair in denim, and I love the fit. I decided to keep them, and I hope they don't get terribly wrinkled when I wear them. They are well made, and perfect for me!"

F&E has done it again

"I almost returned these shorts because of the price but decided to keep and try them. I'm glad I did, because I have been wearing them nonstop since they arrived. The performance linen is one of my favorite F&E fabrics, it is light, cool and airy, and doesn't wrinkle in the way regular linen does. I wear an 8 in the Wexford (the pant version of this short) but sized up to a 10 to get a bit more length. The 10 in the short fits like the 8 in the Wexford, so they may run a bit small. The Waterford shorts are a great summer staple, and if F&E made a 10-inch Bermuda version of this short I would buy it in every color."

"I ordered size 6 based on the size guide provided. They were too big in the waist and felt a little too big all over. I exchanged them for a 4 which fits perfectly. I normally wear a 4 so I wondered why they suggested a 6 based on their calculations."

Love the longer length!

"I love the longer length of these shorts, and am so glad that they came out with them! I just can't wear short shorts anymore! Unfortunately for me they did not run true to size. I usually wear a medium in shirts, and a size 10 in pants but these were just a little too snug in the 10. These shorts have pleats in them which need the extra material to lay correctly. So sadly I sent back the size 10 and I re-ordered them in the size 12 in white. I am hoping there is a re-stock in other colors in size 12 soon."
