Stand up straight and relax your stomach, then wrap a soft measuring tape at the midway point between the bottom of your ribcage and your hip bone. Avoid pulling the measuring tape too tightly.

HIP

Stand with your feet hips width distance and flat, then wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest point of your hip.

Pro Tip: Sitting down while you take this measurement ensures accuracy and provides added comfort for the best fit.

INSEAM

Use a soft measuring tape to measure from the highest point of your inner thigh to the bottom of where the pant will hit. For instance, if the inseam is 27”, you’ll measure 27” down.

Love the muted red plaid

"Love this muted red plaid but the large pattern apparently presents a challenge for garment construction. The first shirt I received had a back panel with the plaid cut an inch higher on one side, very noticeable where the garment back is joined to the shoulder panel. The second shirt’s back panel was cut such that the plaid is off by a half inch. Awaiting a third shirt and hope the back panel across the shoulders looks straight like the web photo. Disappointing quality control from F&E."

"Beautiful fabric! I love the fit of Eileen. however the length makes it feel sloppy at times. I have taken several of my Eileen's and had them hemmed about 3 inches. Much improved for a 5ft tall lady. I do wish you carried some items tailored more for a shorter person. And please, please, please, next year lengthen some shorts to 9-11 inches. It would be so appreciated!"

Was expecting a thicker material

"I love the color of this shirt, but I was expecting a thicker softer material, not a midweight cotton shirt. I did decide to keep it. The sizing is HUGE. I am 5'6", 130 lbs and have a 34F bust, and I ordered a size XS. It isn't even tight! It fits like a normal M (6-8) sized top."

Multiple sizes in my closet

"I have about 6 Eileens and they all have a purpose. My first was a denim Eileen in L, this is great for the regular oversized fit as promised. My second was a linen L, this fit a little larger than the denim, but still ok with my linen Jameson. I recently purchased a L red plaid in the late summer collection and it fits a little smaller than the original denim L. Recently I purchased the latest dark denim in the late summer collection in a M and I like how it fit. A little more shape without buttons being challenged. My latest is the Eileen in the triple fleece in M and this too is appropriately fitted. I could’ve purchased a L to wear tees under it - but I don’t often wear my Eileens open. I LOVE them all!"
