HERITAGE JERSEY
HERITAGE JERSEY

Heritage Jersey feels like your favorite vintage tee—gently worn, textured, and a tad nubbly to the touch. We love the matte effect of this durable, open-end yarn made in sunny California.

Where does it come from?
USA

How is it made?
Cotton is grown in the Delta region of the U.S. and spun into yarn in North Carolina. From there, the yarn is knitted and finished into fabric by our LA knitting mill. Finally, the fabric is crafted into garments by our LA cut-and-sew partners.

Most Notable Sustainability Practice
This fabric is produced entirely in the USA. Most notably, the spinning is done in a zero waste facility, meaning any waste from the production is reused. Any fibers rejected from the spinning process are reused into raw material for cotton balls and cotton swabs. Organic matter extracted from the cotton cleaning process (such as leaves and bark from the cotton plant) is compressed and shipped back to farmers to use as fertilizer for next season’s crops.

ITALIAN PERFORMANCE TWILL
ITALIAN PERFORMANCE TWILL

Light as a feather, this incredible, easy-to-move-in Italian twill is stonewashed to perfection, pre-washed, and pre-shrunk. This fabric is intentionally lightweight for a lived-in, “I can’t believe I’m this comfortable” feel.

Where does it come from?
Italy

How is it made?
The raw cotton comes from the U.S., and is woven and dyed in Italy. The fabric is ‘core spun’, which means the elastane yarn is twisted with the cotton fibers. This approach gives the fabric its comfortable feel and natural appearance.

Most Notable Sustainability Practice
This fabric is created by our Italian partner on a nature reserve, which means the mill must adhere to strict environmental regulations. As water is crucial for textile production, the dyeing mill uses a circular water system, drawing the majority of its water from a nearby lake—a practice dating back to the partner’s 18th century origins. The mill purifies the water for fabric processing and then, after dyeing and finishing, re-purifies it using mechanical, chemical, and biological methods to meet Italian standards before returning it to the ecosystem.

Italy

How is it made?
Our traceable cotton is spun, dyed, and woven into fabric at our Italian partner's denim mill, which is located on a European nature preserve. Once it reaches sunny California, the final steps—cutting, sewing, dyeing, and hand-finishing—are all completed within a 25-mile radius.

Most Notable Sustainability Practice
Our Italian Vintage Denim is crafted using sustainable technologies exclusive to our Italian partner's denim mill, including a plastic and microplastic-free dye process that eliminates all hazardous chemicals from traditional denim dyeing processes.

OEKO-TEX®
