Frank & Eileen

With the arrival of fall, two longtime friends, our model Ray and photographer Sophie, packed up their coziest Frank & Eileen sweaters and headed to a rustic shoreline cabin in rural Maine, sharing a visual style diary and field notes from the trip with us along the way.

"Having grown up in Maine, there's something really special about getting to photograph the place that shaped so much of how I see the world," Sophie tells us, with Ray adding, "Half of my heart is at home in California and the other half is in Maine."

A COASTAL ARRIVAL

"In Maine that I learned how to truly live in and with nature.” Ray shares, wrapped in her luxuriously soft, braided
Mini Cotswolds, layered over her Patrick Popover Henley and Brennan Barrel Jean.

AT THE CABIN

"Life in Maine has always felt grounded in the things that matter: family, community, tradition, and the natural world." Sophie tells us as she and Ray settle into the cabin, dressed in cozy Montecito Sweaters and easy Brennan Barrel Jeans.

SUNSET ROW

After throwing on her Pure Italian Cotton Montecito Cardigan, Ray climbs into the boat for an evening row as Sophie reflects on the wildly beautiful, untouched landscape surrounding them. "Some of my strongest memories of Maine are incredibly simple: being outside all day, cold water, salty air, coming home when the light started to disappear."

DAILY CATCH

With her beloved Montecito Turtleneck and Derry Illusion Pull-On Jean protecting her from the coastal chill, Ray finds the words to sum up the magic of Maine: "Here, you will never feel more fulfilled and at peace."
